M&E Buyer - Camden, London A growing and well-established M&E contractor is looking to appoint an experienced M&E Buyer to support the delivery of commercial, residential and fit out projects across London and the South East. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and expanding business with a strong pipeline of secured work, working alongside experienced project delivery and commercial teams on projects ranging from £1m - £20m+. The Role As M&E Buyer, you will be responsible for the procurement of mechanical and electrical materials, plant and subcontract packages across multiple projects. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and with strong supplier relationships maintained throughout. Key Responsibilities * Procurement of mechanical & electrical materials and equipment * Managing supplier relationships and negotiating best value * Obtaining and analysing quotations from suppliers * Raising purchase orders and tracking deliveries * Working closely with project managers and commercial teams * Monitoring material costs and market trends * Ensuring procurement schedules align with project programmes * Managing subcontractor and supplier accounts where required * Supporting the wider commercial and operational teams Requirements * Previous experience working as an M&E Buyer within the building services industry * Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical materials * Experience working for an M&E contractor or building services company * Excellent negotiation and communication skills * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines * Commercial awareness and strong organisational skills * Proficient with procurement systems and Microsoft Office What’s On Offer * Competitive salary and package * Career progression within a growing contractor * Exposure to high-profile projects * Supportive and collaborative working environment * Long-term pipeline of secured work If you are an experienced M&E Buyer looking for your next opportunity with a reputable contractor, apply today for a confidential discussion
