About the role

Location: Rainham, RM13 Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 Contract: Temporary (2–3 months initially, with potential to be extended) Pertemps are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Rainham (RM13) for an experienced Administration Assistant to join a busy and fast-paced import freight office. The Role You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy office environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an administrative role and enjoys working within logistics or freight operations. Key Responsibilities Handling incoming emails and telephone enquiries Performing accurate data entry and maintaining records Supporting the operations team with general administrative tasks Managing documentation relating to import freight Using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, to update and track data Maintaining organised filing systems and ensuring records are up to date What We’re Looking For Previous experience in an administrative role (ideally within logistics or freight, but not essential) Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with a particular focus on Excel Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy office environment Confident handling emails and telephone queries What’s On Offer Competitive hourly rate of £13.50 Stable Monday–Friday working hours (no weekends) Opportunity to work within a supportive and fast-paced team environment Initial 2–3 month assignment with the potential for extension
