Contract: 12‑month contract (Maternity Cover)

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager to support onshore renewable energy service projects across Great Britain. This role will work as a strategic business partner to Operations Management, providing full commercial oversight across a portfolio of projects within a geographical hub (typically 15-30 sites).
This is a key role offering P&L and balance sheet responsibility, supporting both operational performance and commercial delivery while driving profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Full P&L and balance sheet responsibility for projects and hub
Monthly project cost management and forecasting, with a strong focus on accuracy and budget control
Identification and management of project risks and opportunities
Ownership and reporting of risk registers and non‑conformance costs
Monitoring, analysing and reporting on key KPIs including:
Availability
LTP / Corrective hours
Service and project hours
Project spend and gross margins
Billings and accounts receivable management
Build and maintain strong working relationships with operations partners and wider business stakeholders
Prepare and deliver regular performance presentations to senior management
Handle day‑to‑day commercial queries from sites and operations teams
Support tender and sales phases, including contract and T&Cs input
Manage customer relationships and attend regular customer meetings
Lead or support commercial escalations and dispute management
Ensure robust commercial controls, forecasting models (ETCs) and reporting processes
Drive continuous process and efficiency improvements
Skills & Experience Required
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Proven experience in a project‑focused commercial or project controlling role
Experience within the energy or renewable sector preferred
Strong knowledge of:
Project controlling
Risk management
Currency management
IFRS accounting principles
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Strong IT skills, including:
SAP
Microsoft Office Suite (including Power BI)
