Design & Technology Teacher Secondary School - Burnley, Lancashire Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full‑Time (Long‑Term with Potential for Permanent) Pay: MPS/UPS - Paid to Scale About the Role Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well‑resourced secondary school in Burnley to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Design & Technology for a September 2026 start. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward‑thinking Technology department where creativity, practical learning, and high standards are valued. The successful candidate will deliver Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities for KS5 for the right person. Specialisms may include Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, or Food & Nutrition; however, teachers with a strong general DT background are encouraged to apply. The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards it Have strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology Be confident delivering engaging, practical, and structured lessons Maintain high expectations for behaviour, progress, and achievement Demonstrate effective workshop and classroom management Be committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing Work collaboratively within a supportive departmental teamApplications are welcome from ECTs and experienced teachers.
