Building Fabric Technician - General Builder Towcester, Northamptonshire, NN12 8EQ Mon - Fri 8.00am - 4.30pm Initially a temporary contract this may lead to long term permanent work. The company is a UK leading engineering organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the commercial and industrial sectors. The huge range of engineering work carried out by the company includes complete electrical installations along with planned and preventive facilities maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a building fabric technician - general builder to join the company supporting a major facilities management contract in Towcester, NN12 8EQ. Duties As a suitably experienced building fabric technician - general builder, ideally with a carpentry background, you will be working on site at a major manufacturing facility in Towcester, NN12 8EQ. Responsibilities will be to carry out a broad range of general construction works with the purpose of maintaining the building fabric of a variety of mixed-use buildings. Typical duties will include carpentry, painting, plaster patching, very basic plumbing, changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, moving office furniture, pest control, along with other general repairs to the building fabric and ancillary equipment as necessary and as required. About You Based ideally in Northamptonshire, you will need to live within a short commutable distance of NN12 8EQ as no travel time or expenses will be paid. Demonstrable experience of building maintenance along with a strong carpentry background is essential for this role. Due to the age and condition of several of the buildings, experience of heritage carpentry would be advantageous. Full UK driving license is essential as you will be required to collect materials and move parts between sites. A pool vehicle will be available for this. Interested?
