Are you a Russell Group graduate looking to gain school-based experience before moving into teaching, educational psychology or wider education? This Russell Group Academic Mentor opportunity from September 2026 is ideal for a high-achieving graduate keen to support pupils within a secondary school that places strong emphasis on academic ambition, structure and progression.
This Russell Group Academic Mentor role is based within a high-performing Southwark secondary school recognised for its strong sixth form provision, ambitious curriculum and focus on university progression. Pupils are encouraged to aim for top universities and competitive pathways, with the school maintaining high expectations around behaviour, attendance and academic outcomes throughout all key stages.
The successful Russell Group Academic Mentor will work closely with classroom teachers and intervention leads to support pupils across KS3–KS5. The Russell Group Academic Mentor will provide targeted academic support, deliver small-group interventions and help pupils develop confidence in core subject areas. This Russell Group Academic Mentor role would particularly suit graduates considering teacher training in the future.
