Were recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-established garden centre restaurant for a Sous Chef to join a fresh food kitchen focused on quality, consistency, and seasonal cooking.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys leading a team, cooking with fresh ingredients, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance with no evening service and no split shifts .

Responsibilities as Sous Chef Support the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations
Lead the kitchen during service and in the Head Chef's absence
Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
Assist with menu development and seasonal specials
Support ordering, stock control, and supplier management
Monitor food costs, waste control, and kitchen efficiency
Train and develop junior chefs
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
What Were Looking For Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie
Passion for fresh, seasonal food
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent organisation and time management
Ability to perform under pressure during busy services
Team-focused and proactive approach
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen xwzovoh procedures
Ideal Background Fresh food restaurant, café, hotel, or garden centre dining
Experience supporting menu development
Comfortable leading a team during service
