Design Engineer Location: Magherafelt Salary: £35,000

- £45,000 Were working with a well-established heavy engineering manufacturer who design and build specialist equipment used across the UK and Europe.

The Role Youll be part of a busy design team, responsible for developing new product ideas and refining existing designs to improve performance, efficiency, and manufacturability.

Day to day, youll be: Turning concepts into detailed designs ready for production Re-engineering existing designs to improve build efficiency and reduce manufacturing time Producing engineering drawings and production specifications Writing and presenting technical reports where needed Working closely with production to ensure designs are practical and buildable Contributing to design reviews to ensure the best outcome for the customer Applying continuous improvement and lean thinking to your work Occasionally getting involved in customer or sales meetings What Youll Need Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar 3+ years design experience in an industrial environment Nice to Have (Not Essential) Experience with FEA and stress/loading xwzovoh calculations Understanding of fatigue and structural design principles Exposure to heavy engineering, trailers, or similar equipment Knowledge of manufacturing processes and fabrication To find out more, tap apply below and Stephen will be in touch!
