About the role

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their full potential? We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Residential Children’s Workers to join a supportive and dynamic team. As a Residential Children’s Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stable home environment for children and young people. You will provide day-to-day care, emotional support, and guidance while helping individuals develop confidence, independence, and life skills. You’ll act as a positive role model, supporting young people through challenges and celebrating their achievements along the way. Support children and young people with their daily routines, including personal care where required Build positive, trusting relationships and provide emotional support Promote safe behaviours and help manage challenges in line with care plans Support education, hobbies, and social development activities Contribute to care plans, reports, and reviews with accurate record-keeping Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of all young people Experience working with children or young people in a caring or support role Understanding of child development and emotional needs Awareness of safeguarding, including risks such as exploitation, self-harm, and domestic challenges Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children & Young People (or willingness to work towards this) A nurturing and child-centred approach A commitment to safeguarding and high-quality care The ability to motivate and inspire young people Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends Pay range and compensation package We are committed to your growth and will support you with ongoing training and development, opportunities to gain recognised qualifications, regular supervision and support, and career progression opportunities.
