Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) based within a welcoming school in Bexley.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, proactive and committed to making a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support.
The Role:

Supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
-
Assisting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom
-
Helping to manage behaviour positively and consistently
-
Building strong relationships to support emotional regulation and engagement
-
Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEN or behavioural needs
-
Calm, empathetic and resilient approach
-
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
Ability to remain professional in challenging situations
-
Team Teach or behaviour management training is desirable but not essential
