A secondary school in Barnet is looking to appoint an Art Graduate to join their team as a Trainee Art Teacher from September 2026. This is an excellent Art Graduate opportunity for a graduate who is passionate about Art and interested in building a long-term career in education while working towards QTS.
 
The school is seeking an Art Graduate who is creative, resilient and eager to develop their confidence in the classroom. As a Trainee Art Teacher, you will support pupils across KS3 and KS4 while gradually taking on greater teaching responsibility throughout the academic year.

• Full-time salaried Trainee Art Teacher position
• £28,000 annual salary minimum
• One-year teacher training programme leading to QTS
• Supporting and teaching Art across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Ongoing mentoring, training and classroom guidance throughout the year
• Opportunity to develop behaviour management and teaching skills in a supportive environment

Art Graduate | Person Specification

• Minimum 2:1 degree in Art, Fine Art, Graphic Design or a related subject
• Strong academic background, including A Levels
• Genuine interest in training to become a teacher
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced school setting
