Electrical Design Engineer Lead

Piper Maddox are supporting a well-established and growing energy company in their search for an Electrical Design Engineer Lead. Specialising in ground-mounted and rooftop solar PV, alongside battery storage, they are looking for someone to lead electrical design on projects with grid connections up to 132kV. Role: Electrical Design Engineer Lead Leading electrical design for solar PV and BESS projects - Producing and reviewing SLDs, protection studies, cable calculations, and earthing designs - Working closely with DNOs, ICPs, project managers, and construction teams - Supporting tendering, construction, and commissioning activities Strong experience in renewable energy electrical design - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related discipline -
