Hours:
Two shifts a week, for three hours each time. There is the potential to increase each shift to four hours. The available days are Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday, and times can be arranged accordingly.
NSS PLUS LTD (NeuroSupport Services) is a specialist provider dedicated to helping individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) regain independence and improve their quality of life. We are currently seeking professional Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Leyton.
The Role
Our client is a 36-year-old male with a spinal injury. He is seeking a personal assistant that will be able to help him move home, and will still be able to assist him in the local area to after the move.
The successful candidate will have good communication skills with therapists, case management, as well as clients, and be able to complete digital daily records in a timely manner.
The support worker requires the following duties:
- Administrative tasks: this will be include management of mail/emails, and diary/appointment management.
- Daily household chores, such as cooking, washing, changing bed etc
- Support client with cooking.
- To be identify risks/maintain simple monthly checks (fire alarms)
- Support EC with therapy strategies/goals.
- Supporting EC into the community.
- Supporting EC with parcel deliveries.
- Personal assistance to help EC to socialise in the community, and find activities to which EC can attend.
Mandatory Requirements
To be considered, candidates MUST meet the following criteria:

UK Experience: At least 6 months of UK-based support worker experience (within the last 3 years).
*
Licence: A full, clean UK Driving Licence and access to a car for work use.
*
Communication: Clear, fluent English is essential.
*
Status: Applicants must be willing to work on a self-employed basis.
*
CV: Your CV must clearly highlight your relevant experience and qualifications.
Preferred Candidate Profile
*
Experience in Brain Injury (ABI/TBI), stroke,dementia or aphasia is highly advantageous.
*
Background in Psychology (Graduates are encouraged to apply) or as a Therapy Assistant, Rehabilitation Support Worker,Healthcare Assistants or Care Worker
*
Ability to work on your own initiative while being a key part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
*
Strong organizational skills and basic IT literacy (Word/Excel).
