SEN Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary School

Richmond upon Thames, London Full-time Start Date: September 2026 £90-£110 per day, dependent on experience Fixed-term (with potential to become permanent)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a range of welcoming and high-achieving primary schools in Richmond upon Thames.

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils within mainstream settings across Richmond upon Thames from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the highly desirable borough of Richmond upon Thames, supporting children with additional needs in inclusive school environments.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within mainstream primary schools in Richmond upon Thames, where you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs)
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Assist pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Promote positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEN
  • Is patient, proactive, and nurturing
  • Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Holds a DBS on the update service (or is willing to obtain one)
