Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on LGV and waste vehicles within the FCC workshop.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.
- Use appropriate tools, equipment, and PPE, reporting any unsafe conditions.
- Accurately complete all relevant paperwork, worksheets, and records.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain competency and skills.
- Ensure all operations comply with legal, quality, and environmental management systems.
- Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Maintain professionalism with excellent timekeeping and flexibility to meet contract demands.
Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and management at all levels.
- Knowledge/Expertise: Previous experience as an LGV Mechanic, experience with waste vehicles, full UK driving licence, and LGV Class 2 driving entitlement.
- Innovation: Self-motivated with the ability to work within defined timescales and adapt to new challenges.
- Business Impact: Awareness of transport legislation and a safety-conscious approach to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
- Demonstrate leadership in maintaining safety standards and operational compliance.
