Site Supervisor | Darlington

Rate: £220 per day (CIS)

Location: Darlington

Sector: Civils & Housing (Plot Works)

Start Date: Immediate

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee plot works and groundworks for a residential development in Darlington. This is a key role for a civils-focused supervisor who understands the pace and precision required for housing infrastructure.

The Role

You will be responsible for the daily supervision of groundworks and civil engineering teams on-site. Key duties include:

• Plot Works Management: Overseeing the delivery of foundations, floor slabs, and external drainage for residential plots.
• Health & Safety: Leading site inductions, conducting daily toolbox talks, and ensuring strict adherence to RAMS.
• Subcontractor Coordination: Managing various trades to ensure plot completions stay on schedule.
• Quality Control: Inspecting workmanship to ensure all civils work meets client and regulatory specifications.
• Reporting: Maintaining site diaries and providing progress updates to the Site Manager.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven background in residential civils, specifically plot works (foundations, slabs, and drainage).
• Qualifications: Valid SSSTS (or SMSTS) and a CSCS Gold Card (Supervisor).
• Compliance: Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
• Skills: Strong leadership, ability to read technical drawings, and excellent communication skills.
