Location: North Staffordshire
Salary: £27,000£30,000 depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, with a 9-day fortnight
CVM World is looking for a practical, reliable and motivated Vehicle Service Technician to join our growing team.
This role would suit someone who has completed a college course or equivalent training in vehicle maintenance and has gained around 23 years hands-on experience in the motor trade. We are not looking for a highly specialised diagnostic technician. Instead, we are looking for someone who is confident carrying out routine servicing, general maintenance and basic mechanical repairs to a good standard.
You will be working as part of a supportive workshop team, helping to prepare, maintain and repair vehicles as part of our vehicle conversion process.
Key responsibilities
The role will include:
Carrying out routine servicing and vehicle maintenance.
Replacing brake discs, pads and other consumable parts.
Completing general MOT-related repairs.
Checking vehicles for basic mechanical issues.
Supporting the wider workshop team with preparation and repair work.
Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a good standard.
Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe.
Following company procedures and health and safety expectations.
Highlighting any additional repair requirements to senior members of the team.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
Around 23 years experience in a vehicle mechanic, service technician or similar role.
A relevant college qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
Confidence with basic servicing and general vehicle maintenance.
Experience replacing brakes and other common wear-and-tear parts.
A practical, hands-on approach.
Good attention to detail.
A willingness to learn and develop.
Reliability, good timekeeping and a positive attitude.
A full UK driving licence.
Advanced diagnostic experience is not essential for this role, although a willingness to learn would be welcomed.
