Category Manager Location: Reading – 3 days per week Salary: Competitive Day Rate | Inside IR35 Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Category Manager on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement Category Strategies for assigned sub-group of categories, balancing short and long-term objectives to meet business strategy. Support and execute stakeholder management. Delivering benefits through category management interventions within a complex project / programme delivery environment. Adopt a polite yet tenacious attitude to achieve goals and move projects towards completion. Skills and Qualifications: 5 years’+ category management experience. Experience working in a highly regulated industry. Supplier relationship management skills and experience. Running procurements, end to end. SC clearance. Sole UK national. Ability to Support existing Category Manager. Experience working in a highly regulated industry. Strategic. High attention to detail. Strong stakeholder engagement skills at all levels and strong communication skills. Able to support putting together packs/materials for supplier reviews. Proficient MS Office 365. Desirable: Public procurement background. Defence experience is highly desirable. Some contract management involvement, good to have. Jaggaer would be beneficial. CIPS & MCIPS
