Salary: Up to £40,000+ Benefits + £6,000 Car Allowance + Training & Progression



About the Role and Business:


This industry-leading manufacturer is seeking a talented Category Buyer with expertise in Indirect Procurement categories—including IT, HR, and Factory Services.



In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for:



  • Engaging and managing supplier relationships


Supporting contract negotiations, tenders, and RFIs


Driving the implementation of supplier agreements

Your Key Responsibilities



  • Support the Procurement Manager/Head of Procurement in preparing RFIs, RFQs, and ITT documents


Source new suppliers and materials to support business growth and innovation


Negotiate and implement supplier agreements, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards


Lead and support tendering processes across key spend areas


Contribute to the development and execution of category plans




About You


You’ll bring demonstrable experience in procurement, ideally with a focus on supplier selection, contract negotiation, and tender management. You're ambitious, eager to learn, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Key Skills & Qualifications



  • Experience in a Procurement Buyer role


Supplier negotiation and Tendering is essential


Working knowledge of Indirect Procurement, including contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and tendering processes


Comfortable with supplier-facing responsibilities, including visits and ongoing relationship development


MCIPS qualification (or working towards) is a plus, but not essential
