Commercial Litigation Solicitor

Abacus is hiring a Commercial Litigation Solicitor (with a Construction focus) at junior to mid-level PQE to join a highly reputable firm with a highly regarded Disputes team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value disputes for major corporates, developers, contractors, insurers, and public sector clients.The Role: You will advise on a broad range of commercial disputes, with a particular emphasis on construction and engineering matters, including:Construction and engineering disputes (TCC matters)Adjudications, arbitrations, and High Court litigationDisputes arising from JCT, NEC, and bespoke construction contractsProfessional negligence claims involving construction professionalsDelay, disruption, and defects claimsGeneral commercial litigation matters.You will work closely with partners on significant cases while gaining increasing responsibility for managing matters and client relationships.About You: A Qualified Solicitor with circa typically 1 to 5 years PQE in Commercial Litigation along with:Experience in construction-related disputes or a strong interest in specialisingFamiliarity with litigation procedure and dispute resolution processesExcellent drafting, analytical, and advocacy preparation skillsStrong organisational ability and attention to detailAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamDirect experience of adjudication and/or arbitration proceedingsTechnical understanding of construction projects or industry backgroundDual qualification is a bonus.The Reward:Comprehensive benefits package and bonus offeringAccess a high-quality and range of contentious work with leading clients in the construction sectorCompetitive salary and bonus structureHybrid/flexible working arrangementsClear career progression within a top-tier disputes practiceSupportive team culture with strong mentoring.If this role sounds right for you, then send an updated CV through the link or contact Alan Braithwaite for an honest and confidential discussion.
