About the role

Package Description

Dollar Academy is seeking to recruit new Governors to join its Board. We are looking for individuals who can bring a range of skills, experience and perspectives to support the Academy's strategic direction and long-term success.

The Board is composed of individuals with the skills and experience to assist the Trust in carrying out its aims and objectives, and who are committed to the successful stewardship of Dollar Academy.

The Board exercises general supervision and oversight of the School and everything connected with it, oversees its financial affairs and develops strategies to continue the success of the School into the future.

The Board meets in person three times a year.

Desired Experience

Experience in Fundraising and Advancement
Experience in Safeguarding
Experience in Law
Experience in Buildings and Estate Management
Commitment to the education and wellbeing of young people

All Governor roles are voluntary, but appropriate travel expenses will be paid.
