Senior Mechanical Engineer Building Services

Are you a senior Mechanical Engineer in Building Service Design and looking to work on some exciting projects? Do you want a contract role with variety? You could work for a leading Building Services contractor, with a national presence with the following details; Location: Liverpool (1x a week in the office) Rate: Up to £50 per hour (Inside IR35) Duration: 12 months + Key Responsibilities · Deliver mechanical design for major construction projects · Produce high-quality designs, specifications, and technical solutions · Work closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams · Coordinate designs across disciplines (M&E, BIM, etc.) · Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and quality procedures · Support cost planning, estimates, and pre-construction activities · Contribute to innovative and sustainable design solutions · Support and mentor junior engineers where required Requirements · Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering · CIBSE / IMechE member (or working towards Chartership) · Strong experience in building services design (HVAC / MEP) · Experience delivering medium to large-scale projects · Knowledge of BIM, Revit, and design coordination · Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Why Join? · Work on high-value, complex projects · Be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team · Strong focus on wellbeing, development, and career progression
