Salary: £27,000–£32,000 DOE + Study Support
A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Exeter is looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join its friendly and collaborative team.
This opportunity would suit someone with a few years' experience within an accountancy practice who is part-qualified and actively studying (ACA/ACCA/AAT), looking to continue developing their technical skills and progress their career within a supportive environment.
The firm prides itself on its positive office culture and is looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit, office-based team.
The Role
Working alongside experienced accountants and managers, you will be responsible for supporting a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industries, preparing accounts, maintaining client relationships, and assisting with day-to-day compliance work.

Key Responsibilities
Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Preparing management accounts where required.
Completing bookkeeping and bank reconciliations.
Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance.
Supporting senior team members with year-end accounts preparation.
Managing day-to-day client queries and building strong professional relationships.
Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and provide routine accounting support.
Working to deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of two to three years' experience within an accountancy practice.
Be part-qualified and actively studying towards ACA, ACCA or AAT.
Experience preparing accounts and VAT returns.
Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software, including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and ideally CCH.
Confidence communicating directly with clients and building professional relationships.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
A positive attitude and genuine ambition to progress within an accountancy practice.
