Site Engineer – 7/8 Week Contract – Scotland & North East

We’re currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to support multiple infrastructure project sites across Scotland and the North East on a short-term paternity cover contract.

This role would suit a strong all-round engineer comfortable working across live site environments, supporting quality documentation, lift planning activities, and occasional setting out duties.


Rate: £350–£400 per day (Inside IR35)

Locations:

  • Wooler
  • Simprim
  • Haddington
  • Rhynd (Perth)
  • Charlestown (Dunfermline)
  • Pettinain (Lanark)


Start Date: 1st June

Duration: 7–8 Weeks


Candidates based around Fife / Kinross / Central Scotland would be ideally located for travel between sites.


Key Responsibilities:

WC Quality Check Sheets

Supporting Lift Plans & lifting activities

Site engineering support

Occasional setting out

Site documentation & compliance

Liaising with site teams & subcontractors


Requirements:

  • Previous Site Engineer experience within civils or infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of quality documentation
  • Experience supporting Lift Plans
  • CSCS Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Able to work independently across multiple sites


Desirable:

  • AutoCAD experience
  • Setting out experience
  • Utilities or infrastructure background
