Production Operative / Cable Harness Technician

We are looking for Production Operative / Cable Harness Technician to join our growing manufacturing team in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working on high-quality specialist products for customers in defence, aerospace, rail, marine, and motorsport.

We offer a competitive hourly rate, a £500 signing-on bonus for candidates with 2+ YEARS relevant experience (upon completion of 90-day probationary period) , and full training on our products, processes, and systems.
Responsibilities
Build products in accordance with drawings, work instructions and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Follow internal processes and quality procedures
What you'll be doing
You will be trained to carry out a range of assembly and manufacturing tasks, including:
Wire Preparation (Cutting & Stripping)
Crimp and solder terminations
Assembling electrical and electronic components
Applying heat shrink and associated materials
Following build instructions for harness and electromechanical assemblies
Recording work activity and job progress using internal systems
Requirements
Essential skills
Good attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred experience
Previous experience in cable harness assembly or a similar hands-on manufacturing, wiring, or electromechanical assembly role (around 3 years preferred)
Ability to follow work instructions, drawings and wiring diagrams.
