Supply Care Solutions are looking for a Welfare Rights Officer in Derbyshire. Rate: £21.00 per hour (Umbrella) Working Pattern: Part-time – 21.72 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 09:00 – 17:00) Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Welfare Rights Officer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role plays a key part in supporting efforts to reduce homelessness by working closely with landlords, tenants, and local authorities in the evolving landscape of Renters’ Rights. This is a hybrid role, with two days working from home and one day based at the office each week. Key Responsibilities * Work proactively with landlords and local authorities to help sustain tenancies and prevent homelessness * Provide welfare rights advice and guidance to tenants, primarily via telephone * Signpost individuals to appropriate funding streams and support services * Build positive working relationships with stakeholders to support long-term housing stability * Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures About You * Strong communication skills, particularly over the phone * Experience in welfare rights, housing, or a related field * Ability to manage caseloads and work independently * Knowledge of current housing legislation and Renters’ Rights is desirable * Empathetic, organised, and solution-focused approach Our locum Welfare Rights Officers benefit from *Excellent Rates *Refer-a-friend scheme* *Assistance with DBS applications *Dedicated consultant support *Varied career and flexible working opportunities If you are interested in this position please apply online or call us directly.
