HGV Mechanic

*HGV Mechanic – Experienced*

We are looking for an experienced HGV mechanic who is a team player and can service and repair HGVs to MOT standard. We require someone reliable, flexible, hardworking, and able to communicate effectively, with a strong commitment to Health & Safety.

*Hours:* Monday to Friday, typically 7:00am – 5:00pm. Occasional Saturdays may be required.
*Salary:* Negotiable depending on experience.

*Responsibilities:*

* Report all vehicle defects to the garage manager.
* Conduct safety inspections, routine maintenance, and repairs to the highest standards.
* Diagnose and rectify faults using advanced technical skills and diagnostic equipment.
* Perform thorough inspections following DVSA guidelines.
* Carry out fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs.
* Complete safety inspection sheets and job write-ups using provided tablets.
* Work effectively under pressure and actively seek solutions to problems.

*Requirements:*

* Proven experience as an HGV mechanic.
* Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ) and proven experience in repairing and maintaining vehicles.
* Current driving licence essential; HGV licence beneficial but not essential. xwzovoh
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure.
