Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Reporting to: Head Chef
Hours: 3540 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays as required
Salary: £27,300 £31,200 per annum
About the Opportunity
Enhance Catering is currently recruiting for a Sous Chef on behalf of one of our client organisations based in Radlett.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a kitchen entering a new phase, with a strong focus on seasonal menus, quality produce, and delivering a relaxed yet refined dining experience. The kitchen is evolving under new leadership, with a clear vision to build a motivated and ambitious brigade.
The Role
As Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role within the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in overseeing day-to-day operations and leading the team during service and in their absence.
This role would suit an experienced Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready to take the next step in their career within a progressive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
Leading the brigade during service and in the Head Chefs absence
Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
Assisting with menu development, costing, and GP management
Training and mentoring junior chefs
Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance
Supporting stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
What Were Looking For
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Passion for seasonal, ingredient-led cooking xwzovoh
Calm, professional approach under pressure
Positive, team-focused attitude
