As a Part-Time Financial Accountant in London, you'll play a key role in managing financial processes and ensuring accurate reporting for a not for profit and charities organisation. Description
Lead the annual audit process, acting as the main point of contact for external auditors and ensuring all requirements are delivered accurately and on time.
Take ownership of statutory accounts preparation and year-end reporting.
Manage all VAT returns and provide expert advice on VAT compliance within a not-for-profit environment.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, financial, and charity reporting requirements.
Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
Oversee financial controls and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
Work closely with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and governance requirements.
Assist with finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
Profile
A successful Part-Time Financial Accountant should have:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Strong experience managing audits from planning through to completion.
Excellent knowledge of VAT and regulatory compliance.
Previous experience within the not-for-profit, charity, education, or public sector environment is advantageous.
Strong technical accounting skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity while managing multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
Job Offer
Part-Time Financial Accountant role
Salary: Up to £55,000 dependent on the level of experience.
Permanent part-time position based in London.
