Effective interpersonal, motivational and influencing skills are key, as the post holder will be expected to provide public health technical/specialist leadership and guidance to senior managers, and direct and support stakeholders within the wider multi-agency environment.This is a challenging but exciting time to be joining the team who have been leading the drive to improve health and wellbeing in the city. The postholder will be strategically responsible for a broad public health portfolio working across all domains of Public Health and will be strategically responsible for the healthy places programmes area, which includes a broad health improvement and wider determinants portfolio, including healthy weight, tobacco control, sustainability, planning, sexual health and the health protection programme area.For this post you must be able to cope with multiple and changing demands, and to meet tight deadlines. A high level of intellectual rigour, political awareness, negotiation skills and flexibility is essential.
