HR Advisor – Case Coaching Team Barrow-in-Furness (Minimum 3 days on-site per week) 12-Month Maternity Cover (x3 roles) £23.82 per hour PAYE or £31.94 via umbrella (inside IR35) This is a Case Coaching Advisor position – not a generalist HR role.

You will act as a subject matter expert in Employee Relations (ER), providing specialist advice and coaching on complex, high-risk cases across the UK business.
The Role The UK Case Coaching Team provides expert technical advice and support to managers on all Employee Relations matters, including complex investigations, disciplinaries and grievances.
Working within a team of 20 specialist case coaches, you will: Act as a trusted SME and strategic advisor to managers and senior leaders Provide legally sound, risk-balanced advice in line with UK employment law and internal policy Ensure compliance with the Acas Code of Practice and current legislation Coach and influence managers to build capability and confidence in managing ER matters Work closely with Trade Unions and employee representatives in a unionised environment Manage a large and varied case workload across multiple UK business areas Core Duties Coach and advise Line Managers on complex and sensitive ER cases with high business risk Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective case progression Provide balanced, commercially aware and legally compliant advice Support managers, employees and representatives to resolve cases effectively and consistently Maintain accurate and timely case records using appropriate systems Challenge and influence managers constructively to improve ER capability Essential Criteria CIPD Level 5 qualification or above Significant ER discipline expertise with strong UK employment law knowledge Demonstrable experience managing a high-volume, complex case workload Experience working in a unionised environment Proven ability to advise on high-risk and complex ER matters Strong stakeholder management skills across varied and senior audiences Sound judgement and problem-solving capability Knowledge & Skills: UK employment law and its practical application Acas Code of Practice Best practice Employee Relations frameworks Case management and prioritisation Risk assessment and mitigation Influencing and coaching Stakeholder engagement Clear and confident written and verbal communication Why Join BAE Systems?
