Principal Mechanical Engineer

I am currently working with an award winning consultancy, Who has multiple offices across the UK looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer due to growth.  This role will be providing and leading a wide range of services across the majority of industry sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, defence and residential. My client offers a fantastic career progression plan in place.The Responsibility:Work with the Engineering Associate/Director on a regular basis, reporting weekly on progress.Ensure all projects are completed to a high technical standard, on time and on budget.Assist more junior staff with technical queries as appropriate to your knowledge and experience.Carry out fee-earning work, getting involved in the design of schemes where appropriate and particularly where high-level technical expertise is required.Undertake feasibility studies as required.Meet with clients to establish project briefs and budget costs for client consideration.Draw up detailed specifications and drawings against client’s briefs.Review tenders received and prepare tender reports and recommendations.Project manage site works from commencement to completion.Agents work against specification requirements and agree with a contractor’s final accounts.Carry out inspections of existing installations and submit condition reports.Check and prepare information for fee Invoicing each month.Manage the day-to-day workload of individuals reporting directly to you, ensuring clarity of their roles, motivation of the team and wellbeing of individuals.Advise director and partners on resources required, assisting at interview stage.Develop the client base of the practice by being proactive in pursuing marketing opportunities that arise and pursuing marketing initiatives as directed.
