Project Overview: This is an opportunity to join a major aviation infrastructure project in the Greater London area.
The project includes the planning, design, integration and delivery of airfield infrastructure, buildings, systems and supporting works.

Job Summary: As Project Manager, you will help lead the delivery of civil engineering work on a major aviation project.
You will work with the Senior Project Manager to manage the technical, commercial and financial aspects of the project, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, to budget and to the required quality standards.
Major Responsibilities: You will be responsible for leading the project team, managing delivery risks and working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include: Lead project delivery from design and procurement through to construction, handover and close-out.
Promote strong health, safety and environmental performance.
Manage risks that could affect project delivery or airport operations.
Deliver work to agreed cost, schedule and quality requirements.
Support operational readiness, handover and stakeholder engagement.
Lead and develop project team members.
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and planning requirements.
Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
Education and Experience Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Typically 5 years experience managing civil engineering projects over £10m.
Experience managing suppliers and multi-disciplinary teams.
Good commercial and financial awareness.
Knowledge of NEC contracts is desirable.
Required Knowledge and Skills: Experience on UK airport infrastructure projects or knowledge of Civil Aviation Authority requirements is desirable.
Experience working in live operational environments would be helpful.
Confident using digital design tools, construction management systems and 3D design coordination. xwzovoh
Project management qualification such as APMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner is desirable.
