Job Title: CNC Setter Operator Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire Hours: 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 to 12:30 Friday Salary: £15.00 to £20.00 per hour DOE Overview Our client is seeking a CNC Setter Operator to join their team in a fast paced manufacturing environment, supporting the efficient production of high quality components. Key Responsibilities of a CNC Setter Operator • Set and operate CNC machines to produce components efficiently and to the required quality standards. • Obtain Quality Control authorisation on the first off components. • Check all components are machined from the correct material. • Ensure all components are processed in accordance with the production layout, raising any discrepancies or required amendments with supervision. • Ensure all components are machined to drawing dimensions and tolerances. • Ensure all processes are performed efficiently and within set cycle times. • Comply with the company’s Quality Control procedures at all times. • Comply with the company’s Health and Safety policy at all times. • Recommend improvements to methods or processes to enhance quality or efficiency. • Maintain work area and machinery in a clean, tidy and organised condition. • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested. Key Skills of a CNC Setter Operator • Experience setting and operating CNC machinery. • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings. • Strong attention to detail and quality standards. • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials. • Ability to work efficiently and meet production targets. • Awareness of health and safety practices within a machine shop environment. • Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
