Stunning B&I site in the heart of the city catering for 1500 covers daily via a comprehensive breakfast and lunch offering is seeking a talented Senior Head Chef to join their senior culinary team to drive standards and oversee the day to day running of the operation. The offer consists of street food counters, bistro counter, extensive hot and cold grab n go, salad bars, protein bars, international stations, speciality days and take overs from well known brands. A dynamic, exciting fresh food environment with a people centric approach. This is a Monday to Friday operation working for a boutique contract caterer with a reputation for excellence.
The Role
The Senior Head Chef will be responsible for the full day to day running of the kitchen overseeing a team of 24. Key responsibilities will include: - Menu creation and development across all counters - Mentoring and developing the kitchen team - Overseeing financial targets and daily spend per head - Daily client briefings - Maintaining all health and safety standards - Delivering hospitality functions aligned with client specifications The Candidate
- Strong understanding of contract catering environments with both retail and hospitality - Strong financial acumen - Experience leading and mentoring large teams - The ability to focus on the day to day operation whilst also adopting a strategic lens - Flexible and dynamic - able to think on their feet - Highly organised and able to communicate vision and directions clearly
