MTrec Recruitment are proudly representing our specialist manufacturing client in their recruitment for a Production Team Leader. The role will lead a team of skilled operatives and oversee the day-to-day operations of the business covering the day shift.

The Job you will do:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring production processes run safely, efficiently and effectively.
* Lead, coach and develop the Production Team to achieve operational and business objectives.
* Ensure production plans are delivered on time, in full and in line with required quality standards.
* Drive continuous improvements in production efficiency, yield, productivity and waste reduction.
* Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, hygiene, environmental and other relevant regulatory requirements.
* Utilise the ERP system effectively to optimise production planning, performance and overall operational efficiency.
* Ensure all team members are appropriately trained, competent and capable of consistently meeting required standards.
* Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure effective communication, coordination and achievement of business goals.
* Promote employee engagement, teamwork and a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve processes and enhance operational performance.
* Help maintain a strong culture of safety, quality, legality, authenticity and product integrity across the operation.
* Support customer visits, external and internal audits, complaints, incidents and product recalls as required.
* Identify and implement opportunities to reduce energy consumption, minimise waste and lower the organisation’s carbon footprint.
About you:
* Experience with the Food, Drink or FMCG industry is highly desirable
* Experience working as a Production Team Leader, Supervisor, Manager or similar
* Able to set a good example and positive work culture
* Good communication skills at all levels
* IT literate (Microsoft Office)
