Social Worker - Adoption

Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Social Worker (Adoption) to join their team based in London     JOB DETAILS PAY RATE: £35 - £42 per hour WORK TYPE: Temporary WORK PATTERN: Full Time LOCATION: London   JOB SUMMARY The Social Worker is responsible to provide a high quality and effective social work service to respond to the needs of the children and their families in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines. Assess, need, plan and deliver focused intervention to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes. JOB DESCRIPTION The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:   Complete support planning with families by understanding the context of child development, parenting capacity and family and environmental factors to ensure that outcomes identified at assessment are met (within budgetary constraints) through the provision of support. Assess and manage risk, knowing how to intervene proportionately and ensuring people are protected from harm, whilst protecting their human rights. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies: Recognised professional Social Work qualification (Degree/Masters/Post Graduate Diploma/Social Work fast track qualifying programme) Current Social Work England registration Actively undertake a specialist role eg Practice Educator or AMHP or agreement to undertake within the first year.
