About the role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Race Technician to assist with a small smart collection of Classic Cars mostly Jaguars in preparing for race support.

You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, of various race cars, car preparation, and vehicle restoration also car towing equipment.  The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, natural leadership qualities, be self-driven, and have a commitment to safety and professionalism on and off the racetrack.


Duties:


  • Strong time management to ensure timely and effective repairs.
  • Perform diagnostic tests using standard tools to correctly identify mechanical issues.
  • Help develop and implement maintenance schedules to maintain and prevent towing equipment failures.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inventory of parts.
  • Submit purchase orders from various vendors for needed parts.
  • Ensure compliance with team safety regulations and racetrack policies during all operations.
  • Drive race car trailer to designated racing and/or promotional events.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a mechanic with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
