With ambitious growth plans and a collaborative culture, the business is investing in its commercial finance capability and has created a brand-new opportunity to shape and develop its pricing function.

Your new role

As Commercial Pricing Manager, you will act as a trusted commercial business partner, helping drive profitable growth through strategic pricing, commercial analysis and stakeholder influence. This is a newly created position where you'll have the opportunity to build pricing capability, introduce best practice, and establish yourself as a key adviser to senior leaders across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the go-to pricing specialist, advising senior stakeholders on commercial opportunities, bids and key client proposals.
  • Supporting the development and negotiation of complex fee arrangements, including fixed fees, retainers, subscriptions and alternative pricing models.
  • Partnering with business development and bid teams to strengthen commercial propositions and improve win rates.
  • Building financial models to evaluate pricing strategies, profitability and commercial risks.
  • Analysing client, project and portfolio profitability to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Developing pricing frameworks, playbooks and tools to support commercial decision-making.
  • Presenting complex financial analysis in a clear and compelling way to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Delivering commercial and pricing training to improve capability across the wider business.
  • Driving continuous improvement in pricing governance, processes and reporting.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging service models to support future growth and innovation.
  • Supporting the full client life cycle, from initial opportunity through to project delivery, profitability and cash collection.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a commercial pricing, commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering role within a professional services environment.
  • Strong pricing and financial modelling expertise, with a clear understanding of how pricing influences profitability and business growth.
  • Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders while building strong working relationships.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and convert insight into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience supporting bids, tenders, proposals and client negotiations.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance client expectations, profitability and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
  • Experience developing dashboards, management information and business intelligence reporting.
  • Ability to design and deliver training and coaching programmes.
  • Advanced Excel skills alongside experience using Power BI and other business intelligence tools.

What you'll get in return

  • The opportunity to shape and lead a newly created pricing function.
  • Significant exposure to senior leadership and key commercial decision-makers.
  • A highly visible role with genuine opportunity to influence business performance and growth.
  • A collaborative, forward-thinking and innovative working environment.
  • Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities.
  • Hybrid working arrangements and a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • The chance to work on complex, high-value commercial opportunities within a growing organisation.
