Duties and responsibilities related to the Chef de Partie role
Take ownership of your assigned section, ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented consistently to the required standards.
Supervise and participate in food preparation and cooking in accordance with established recipes, methods, and Hyatt standards.
Monitor food quality throughout preparation and service by regularly tasting and checking dishes.
Review daily menus, function sheets, event orders, and forecasts to ensure appropriate preparation and production levels.
Manage stock levels within your section, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Ensure all equipment, utensils, and work areas are clean, organised, and maintained in safe working condition.
Maintain full compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health & safety regulations at all times.
Support and coach junior team members through on-the-job training and guidance on correct work methods and standards.
Assist the Sous Chef with menu planning and the preparation of market lists in line with Hyatt quality and quantity standards.
Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations during service.
