Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Double Day Shifts

£43 - 48,000 per year (plus weekly production bonus and overtime opportunities)
Double Shift Pattern (05:3014:00 and 13:3022:00), Monday to Friday
Herefordshire
Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems and production machinery
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime
Deliver mechanical project work including upgrades, installations, and system improvements
Support the integration and commissioning of new machinery
Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable performance
Perform welding and fabrication tasks (MMA and MIG) as required
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety standards
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support shift operations
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and project activities
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or heavy engineering environment
Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and proactively
Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious attitude
Good knowledge of health and safety procedures xwzovoh and compliance requirements
Hands-on experience with:
Hydraulics and pneumatics
Welding (MMA and MIG)
Conveyors, saws, or similar heavy production machinery
Qualified mechanical engineer (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
