Wax Operative
We are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Wax Operative to support our clients manufacturing process. This hands-on role involves wax injection, trimming, inspection, and maintaining tooling to produce high-quality components.
This position would suit someone with manufacturing or production experience who is comfortable working to tight tolerances and quality standards.
Role Benefits:
Location: Sheffield: S9
Contract: Full-time permanent
Hours: Days & Nights rotational (shift flexibility required) - Days - Monday to Wednesday (Apply online only) and Thursday (Apply online only) & Nights - Monday to Wednesday (Apply online only) and Thursday (Apply online only)
£13.50 per hour + 12.5% shift allowance

Overtime opportunitiesKey Responsibilities:
Carry out wax injection and trimming processes to specification
Inspect wax patterns for defects such as air bubbles, distortion, or incomplete fills
Adjust machine parameters to correct quality issues
Maintain dies and tooling in clean, working condition
Accurately complete production records and job paperwork
Work to daily/weekly production targets
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety at all times Essential Criteria:
Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or factory environment
Ability to use hand tools safely and accurately
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects
Comfortable working to targets, deadlines, and quality standards
Basic understanding of Health & Safety in a workshop or factory setting
Good level of numeracy and literacy (for completing job sheets and documentation)
Reliable with good timekeeping and attendance
Willingness to work shift patterns and overtime when required
Desirable Criteria:
Experience in investment casting, wax processes, or similar precision manufacturing
Previous experience with injection moulding machinery or process setting
Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings or specifications
Experience identifying and correcting process defects
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
Forklift or other factory-related certifications (if relevant)Skills & Behaviours:

Ability to work independently once trained
Flexible and adaptable to changing production needs
