About the role
Insensys is seeking an HSEQ Manager to lead the implementation and continuous improvement of our Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems. This is a highly visible, hands-on role at the heart of our operations, where you will shape best practice, influence culture, and deliver real, measurable impact across the business.
This is an ideal for someone who is driven to make workplaces safer, systems stronger, and people more accountable, this position offers both strategic influence and operational involvement. Reporting directly to the COO and sitting within the Leadership Team, you will take ownership of our HSE agenda, oversee our Quality Management System, ensure full facilities compliance, and champion a proactive, company-wide safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary point of contact for all HSE matters, leading policy implementation, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and safe systems of work across the business
* Govern and coordinate the Integrated Quality Management System (QMS), facilitating internal audits, management reviews, and non-conformance processes
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring effective root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented
* Oversee facilities compliance including fire safety, electrical and mechanical statutory requirements etc.
* Promote a proactive safety culture where individuals take personal ownership of risks and hazards are addressed early
* Monitor UK HSE legislation and ensure ongoing compliance across all areas of the business
* Deliver HSE training and inductions, and support continuous improvement initiatives across quality, safety, and environmental performance
* Provide regular HSEQ performance reporting and recommendations to the Leadership Team and Board
* Own data protection compliance (UK GDPR) and act as a coordination point for incident and breach reporting
Candidate Requirements:
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a HSEQ or HSE-focused role within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar operational environment
* Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and internal audits
* Working knowledge of ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
* Good understanding of UK HSE legislation and experience overseeing UK GDPR and data protection compliance
* Confident communicator to challenge unsafe behaviours and influence at all levels of the business
Desired:
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
* Environmental qualification (e.g. IEMA)
* Lead Auditor qualification (ISO standards)
* Experience with facilities compliance and contractor management
