Student Support Assistant Location: Secondary School Contract: Full-time Start Date: Immediate A vibrant secondary school is seeking a committed Student Support Assistant to join their support team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to help them overcome barriers to learning. You will work across a range of support functions, including classroom assistance, pastoral care, and one-to-one mentoring. The school is looking for someone approachable, dependable, and enthusiastic. Requirements: Experience working with secondary-aged students. Ability to build rapport and trust with young people. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Confidence supporting students academically and emotionally. Enhanced DBS and satisfactory references. Key responsibilities: Support students academically and emotionally. Assist with behaviour and engagement. Provide one-to-one and small group help. Work as part of a wider school support team.
