Welder Fabricator £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience Permanent | Full Time | 4 Day Working Week Some fabrication roles are repetitive. The 4-day working week means every weekend feels longer, while the variety of work keeps the role engaging and rewarding long term. 4 day working week with a permanent long weekend every week. ~ Salary of £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience. ~ Stable, permanent position within a growing engineering sector. ~ Work on specialist machinery rather than repetitive production welding. ~ A business that values quality workmanship over rushing jobs. ~ Variety across fabrication, refurbishment and project work. ~ Forklift licence training provided. ~ Equivalent of 22 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown. ~ You’ll be involved in the fabrication and refurbishment of machinery and associated structural steelwork used within the waste recycling and commodities industry. The work is varied, hands-on and technically interesting, giving you the opportunity to work across bespoke projects rather than repetitive batch manufacturing. You’ll collaborate closely with the engineering team and occasionally attend customer sites, giving you wider exposure to projects from build stage through to completion. TIG and MIG welding. Supporting machinery refurbishment projects. Assisting with structural steel fabrication. Operating a forklift within the workshop environment. Assisting with wider workshop activities where required. At least 2 years’ experience in a fabrication or welding role. TIG and MIG welding experience. High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work. Good understanding of workshop health and safety practices.
