The role will be primarily focused on private M&A across awide variety and sectors.Key responsibilities of the role include:You will take day to day responsibility for matters, with suitabledirect client contact, and will proactively progress complex matterswith appropriate partner support;You will be able to demonstrate well developed verbal and writtencommunication skills, and innovative drafting skills;You will have excellent attention to detail, identifyinginconsistencies that indicate problems with quality of work or amisunderstanding of clients' needsYou will be confident and effective in negotiations with clientsand counterparties;You will be effective in communicating with clients in order tounderstand their needs and how best to meet them. You will also havethe ability to assist clients in arriving at practical and costeffective solutions;You will be effective in forming and maintaining relationshipswith clients and identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships;You will build and maintain a network of business contacts, bothinternally and externally;You will understand the way our business, competitors and clientsare developing and work with the business development team to usethis information to develop business opportunities;You will act with integrity to provide incisive advice to clients,and to work collaboratively with your colleagues in doing so;This is a full-time, permanent role based in our /London office withhybrid working.More information can be found in the job description attached to therole on our careers siteAbout you:The successful candidate will:Be an Associate or Senior Associate with post qualificationcorporate transactional experience across a wide range of matters,including private M&A transactions, Private Equity and Infrastructure.Be an enthusiastic team-player who can work effectively withcolleagues at all levelsHave experience of drafting, reviewing and negotiating legaldocuments and agreements in a private practice environmentHave experience of drafting and negotiating the key transactiondocuments on matters including SPAs, disclosure letters and equitydocuments (including shareholder agreements/ JV agreements).Have experience of leading transactions and/or key transactiondocument workstreams directly with clients.Have experience of co-ordinating multi-disciplinary andmulti-jurisdictional teams.Be a self-starter with the drive and entrepreneurial spirit tocontribute to, and be part of, a growing corporate team.Bring client facing experience and the ability to understand andrespond effectively to client needs and build client relationshipsBring willingness to learn new skills and expand technicalknowledge beyond core transactional skillsBe technically excellent with strong attention to detail andwell-developed analytical and drafting skillsHave commercial approach and an ability to advise and negotiate inan considered, confident and authoritative manner across a widevariety of contractual arrangementsHave a passion for delivering outstanding outcomes for clients ininnovative ways#LI-HYBRID
