Mechanical Contracts Manager

Job Title: Mechanical Contracts Manager Location: Guildford (South East projects) Salary: £70K per annum + £5K car allowance + benefits The Role: * Responsible for the successful delivery of mechanical and HVAC projects from inception to completion * Reporting directly to senior management * Full responsibility for principal contractor project delivery across multiple sectors * Projects include commercial buildings, hospitals, universities, and educational facilities * Manage client and stakeholder relationships throughout project lifecycle Key Responsibilities: * End-to-end delivery of mechanical and HVAC contracts * Production of pre-construction information and technical submissions * Management of subcontractors, engineers, and site teams * Health & Safety management and full site compliance * Preparation and review of RAMS, surveys, and site inspections * Monitoring project progress, reporting, and risk management * Budget control, cost tracking, and financial reporting The Company: * Established M&E contractor with over 55 years’ experience * Delivering mechanical and electrical projects across London and the South East * Current turnover circa £20M per annum * Role created due to continued business growth and increased demand The Ideal Candidate: * 5+ years’ experience in a Mechanical Project Manager or Contracts Manager role * Strong background in HVAC, M&E, or building services projects * Experience working for a principal contractor * Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure * Strong commercial awareness and project delivery focus * Based in Guildford, London, or surrounding South East areas * Willing to travel to sites as required What You’ll Get: * £70K per annum salary * £5K car allowance * Company pension scheme * Performance-related bonus scheme * Long-term career progression within a growing business
