Class 1 Driver / Yard Operative – Food Manufacturing Colchester £15.77 per hour Pin Point Recruitment is currently seeking a Class 1 (C+E) Driver / Yard Operative to join a well-established food manufacturing business. This is a varied role offering a balance between driving and on-site yard duties, ideal for candidates who do not want to be on the road full-time. The Role * Driving Class 1 vehicles for deliveries and collections * Supporting operations within the yard when not driving * Loading and unloading vehicles * General yard duties as required * Operating a forklift truck (full in-house training will be provided) Working Hours * Variable hours contract with a minimum of 40 hours per week * Drivers are currently working around 48–54 hours per week, depending on workload * Hours and days will fit in with the needs of the business * Weekend work will be required * Day work only – no overnight stays * When out driving, you can expect to be off-site for 8–10 hours Requirements * Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence * No more than 6 penalty points * Flexible and reliable approach to work * Willingness to undertake both driving and yard-based duties * Positive attitude and team player What’s on Offer * Full in-house forklift (FLT) training * Stable, long-term opportunity within a food manufacturing environment * A varied role combining driving and yard work * Support from an experienced recruitment team Who This Role Suits This opportunity could be ideal for a newly qualified Class 1 driver looking to gain valuable experience, as well as experienced drivers seeking a more varied position.
