Pupil Support Worker Nether Currie Primary School Salary: £27,257 - £29,850 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional) Working Pattern for the position is Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 3.15pm and Friday 8.30am to 12.15pm We are looking for a conscientious, committed candidate with excellent inter-personal and communication skills. Previous experience of working in a school as a pupil support assistant will be an essential attribute for the successful candidates. We have a current roll of 186 children, from Primary 1 to Primary 7. In August 2022, Nether Currie Primary Early Learning and Childcare opened for children aged 3 and 4 years old and has become an integral part of our school family. Our vision and values were finalised during session 2020-2021, and as a whole school community we have created the following vision, which is encapsulated in a single sentence and underpinned by our three school values. "Valuing ourselves, each other, our community and our learning." ​ PSWs do not work during the 12 weeks of school holidays; This explains how salaries are calculated for sessional (term time) and part time posts. There are also opportunities to work in a holiday hub provision during the school holidays for successful candidates looking to work during the school holidays. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
