Bridge Engineer

Elvet Recruitment are currently working with a Consultancy based in Hull who are on the lookout to add a Bridge Engineer to their team. The business are appointed as Framework Consultants for two local councils as well as having their own private clients for works within Humberside. Key Responsibilities: * Work on a diverse portfolio of bridge, civil, and marine structures, including both existing assets and new builds, across a range of materials and structural forms. * Support early-stage project development, including defining scope, coordinating surveys and inspections, and contributing to option selection and concept design. * Deliver detailed design work, including structural analysis, modelling, calculations, and coordination of technical drawings. * Carry out bridge inspections and monitoring in accordance with Local Authority standards. * Undertake inspection and assessment of marine structures such as jetties, wharves, and related infrastructure. Requirements: * Bachelors Degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering * 4 years minimum experience of working within a design office on bridge schemes covering; steelwork and concrete/masonry * Live local to Hull or able to relocate * Experience in the use of MIDAS beneficial Remuneration * Salary up to £65,000 (depending on experience) * 25 days holiday (increasing with service) * Generous pension contribution * Hybrid working (3 from office, 2 from home) * Flexible core working hours * Professional fees/exam support This is a permanent position and Elvet Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment agency for permanent recruitment on behalf of our client.
